About Artist Christopher Moore
Specializing in metal manipulation, sculpture and paintings, Christopher Moore’s work is influenced by the culture and practices of everyday Louisiana life. “The mysterious city of New Orleans is where most of my inspiration comes from. The beautiful dark past of this city inspires me every day.” His current series of Papa Legba paintings exemplifies Christopher’s love for the dark side of New Orleans, a city drenched in folklore and clandestine history.
A Louisiana native, Christopher Moore has been painting as long as he can remember. His interest in sculpture and design was the natural progression as he continually hones his skills and delves into his passion of creativity. “My ideas do not necessarily precede any logical order. A work in progress is in itself, inspiring and I often find initial intentions being drawn into unexpected directions. My works of art may be be understood as a sort of facilitator from the artist mind to the viewer, but then again, it may never reach the viewer and it may never leave my mind.”
As an artist, Christopher Moore has worked in film production as a prop maker and set designer. Using talents from sculpture and painting have enabled him to work on countless productions. Christopher has had the honor of designing interiors for clubs, restaurants and bars around the country, including the famous Starck Club in Dallas, Texas. His work is collected in homes and businesses across the United States.
